Homework1

Taipei is the capital and most prosperous city of Taiwan. There is a special phenomenon in this city. From Monday to Friday, at afternoon people can see many young students come to there. They come to there for cram school. Near the train station many cram schools have been set there. Because of the convenient traffic, the place is a business metropolis. But if you know many people are not going to shopping, you may be surprised. Those teenagers wear their uniforms, packing their heavy stuffs in the bags, and go to their next class just right after school. As a matter of fact, students in Taiwan already stay longer in school than other countries’ students. However, since most of them are eager to attend good college, they have to get higher grades at the examination. Those kids come to this place, and they are always so tired and hungry. They spare no time for other activities but just go to cram school. This phenomenon shows not only a special scene in this city, but also the problems in Taiwan’s school system. Does our school education not good enough for students? Dose there is something wrong of our way of teaching? Those cram schools’ existences remind us of those questions.
